Mathieu Massa— President & CEO of Mr. Hospitality Group Management Inc. | Managing Member of Massa Investment Group LLC
Born in the French Riviera, Mathieu Massa comes from a family of entrepreneurs, tracing his roots back to his great-grandfather, Sylvain Emile Massa, who settled in Cannes, France, in 1908. Following the family's entrepreneurial spirit, Mathieu earned an MBA from H.E.C in Paris and Babson College in Boston. After graduating in 2007, he moved to Miami and launched Massa Investment Group LLC, specializing in real estate development and hospitality.
In 2009, Mathieu founded Massa Construction Group, handling commercial, residential, hospitality, and mixed-use projects. Notable developments include a villa in Cannes and waterfront homes in Miami Beach. Mathieu's work in real estate soon expanded into hospitality when he transformed a small Italian restaurant into Bâoli Miami, a renowned supper club.
In 2014, after the immense success of Baoli, which was named one of the best restaurants in Florida, Mathieu founded Mr. Hospitality Group, which would soon become the driving force behind Miami’s most successful and upscale dining establishments. Much like his vision for South Beach, Mathieu intuited a change on the horizon for Brickell and seized the opportunity with two adjacent dinner party concepts. In 2015, Mathieu launched the neighborhood’s first major nightlife establishments—Marion and El Tucán. Since opening, Marion has earned acclaim as “Brickell's Hottest Dinner Party,” while El Tucán offered a vibrant, tropical dining experience with live performances.
In 2023, Mathieu transformed Miami Beach's historic Paris Theater into Queen Miami Beach, a luxurious Japanese restaurant and lounge. This $40 million redevelopment has set a new standard for luxury dining, furthering Mathieu's mission to elevate Miami’s hospitality and development scene.
After nearly a decade of serving as a pillar of culture and celebration, El Tucán closed its doors to pave the way for the venue's conceptualization. In May 2024, Lafayette Steakhouse was unveiled to the public— blending the charm of an all-American steakhouse with London speakeasy sophistication.
In June 2024, Mathieu announced the upcoming reinvention of Marion, which will temporarily close its doors for the summer to undergo an extravagant renovation, promising a luxurious new destination filled with music, dancing, and a heightened level of quality and sophistication.
Over the last decade, Mathieu has expanded Mr. Hospitality Group, integrating entertainment, fashion, culture, and art with superior cuisine, setting a new standard for Miami’s fine dining and nightlife scene.
