Matthew Jones | Source | Director of AI Science at Equifax

As the Director of AI Science, Matty Jones directs a cross-functional team of data scientists and machine learning engineers who help develop brand new product lines at Equifax in the fraud and identity space. He and his team specialize in carrying new product ideas from ideation and initial research all the way to production.

Since joining the company, Matty has shared his knowledge at the Kount Customer Advisory Board, Kount Digital Protection Summit, and Equifax Fintech Customer Roundtable. He’s also presented multiple guest lectures, spoken at domestic and international conferences, and led interactive workshops in both fraud-prevention and computer science education.

Matty holds a master’s degree in theoretical physics and a PhD in engineering from the University of Durham in England and completed a postdoc in materials science at Boise State University.
