Max Azarov is an experienced entrepreneur and one of the two brilliant minds behind Novakid, an award-winning online English school for young learners. Max has a passion for technology and innovation. This is reflected in his impressive list of startups, the success of Novakid, and his ongoing commitment to professional development and business transformation.
He studied at the School of Physics and Mathematics at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT), holds an MBA from the University of Massachusetts, and is a Certified Coach. His career includes roles held at leading organisations that include Cyber Vision, Digital 5, Google and LG Electronics, and his entrepreneurial track record is equally impressive. In 2013, Max launched his first startup, Cloudike, with Dmitry Malin, his Novakid co-founder, which went on to provide cloud storage to market leaders such as Vodafone and Vestel.
In 2017, Max and Dmitry founded Novakid. The platform was built on their passion for Edtech and the widening gap in the market for a trusted, accessible and engaging English teaching platform on a global scale.
A new self-led learning product will be released next year using Lingumi's technology.

On thriving in times of disruption:
"Geopolitical conflicts don't respect business borders, but resilient companies build bridges. When our team spanned across conflict zones twice, we discovered that creating islands of cooperation inside our company became not just our survival strategy, but our competitive advantage."
"When global conflict touches your business, the instinct is to choose sides. The leadership challenge is choosing humanity instead. By prioritising our people's safety across 20 countries and funding relocations regardless of nationality, we built a company culture that thrives precisely because it transcends the divisions tearing at the world outside."
On Novakid and EdTech:
"The future of education is about amplifying human connection through technology. At Novakid, we're creating self-learning experiences that kindle curiosity and encourage children seek out deeper human guidance. This is how EdTech truly transforms lives: by making the path to fluency accessible to millions first, then irreplaceable through the magic of human connection."
"EdTech's true potential comes when it removes barriers to learning. When we democratise the first steps of language learning through self-guided technology, we're cultivating curiosity and a love of language. This is the future of global education: technology inspired experiences that make learning so engaging and accessible that millions of children discover their voice, then seek out human connection to amplify it."
On failure:
"Failure isn't a warning sign to stop - it's the most valuable education an entrepreneur can get. Data shows second-time founders succeed more often because they've already paid tuition at the school of hard knocks."
"When my first company failed after five years, I didn't lose an opportunity - I gained clarity. Failure doesn't end your entrepreneurial journey; it redirects you to the path you were meant to find."
