MEG CROSBY is a founding Principal of PeopleCap Advisors, a consulting practice specializing in empowering leaders and elevating organizations. She is a strategic advisor to CEOs, Boards and Investors and a recognized thought leader in people strategy, organizational culture, and organizational growth.

Prior to founding PeopleCap, Meg honed her human capital management skills at Credit Suisse and Google. At Credit Suisse in the mid-90s, she ran the Undergraduate Investment Banking Analyst Program and later worked as Chief Operating Officer of the East Coast Industrials Group. She was lured away to the West Coast in 2000 to join a software startup focused on search technology called Applied Semantics. At ASI, Meg was the Director of HR and HR’s only employee. She worked as part of the management team and made lifelong friends in the trenches of startup growth. ASI was acquired by Google in 2003.

As a member of Google’s People Operations Team, Meg worked closely with Corporate Development, Finance and Engineering to develop and lead a cross functional M&A Integration Team. During her five years at Google, she worked on 35 transactions on 4 continents including the acquisitions of Android, DoubleClick, Picasa (Google Photos), and Urchin (Google Analytics).

Currently, in addition to PeopleCap, Meg is an Operating Partner with SSM Partners, a growth equity firm focused on investing in B2B and Healthcare SaaS businesses. She is the Lead Independent Director and Chair of the Compensation Committee for Diversified Trust Company, a comprehensive wealth management firm in the Southeast. She also serves as a board member for Kukui, a SaaS platform in the automotive industry. Meg previously served as a member of the Board and Chair of the Compensation Committee for Compass Data Centers based in Dallas, TX.

A passionate advocate for her hometown of Memphis, Meg serves on several nonprofit boards including Rhodes College, The T.W. Briggs Foundation, and Slingshot Memphis. She is also a founding board member of the highly innovative Crosstown High Charter School, an XQ Future School, which opened in August 2018.

Meg received her B.A. from University of Richmond. She is Corporate Governance Fellow with the National Association of Corporate Directors.
