I’m a psychiatric nurse practitioner trained at the University of Pennsylvania and the founder of Florida Holistic Psychiatry, where I lead a team of clinicians providing both in-person and telehealth care. We treat patients across Florida and in several other states, addressing the full range of mental health concerns—from mood disorders and substance use to ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, psychosis, and more. I also specialize in couples therapy, helping people improve communication and navigate the complexities of their relationships.

My approach is rooted in evidence-based care, emotional intelligence, and a deep commitment to helping others heal. I consider myself an experiment in relationship stuff too—always learning and growing in this space. As someone who sees it all in practice, I’m a reliable source for anything related to mental health, from clinical insight to the emotional challenges of everyday life.

  • Birdnesting: A Co-Parenting Solution for Stability Amid Divorce
Megan highlights birdnesting's benefits, offering children continuity and emotional security by keeping them in a familiar environment. However, she warns of potential challenges, such as the emotional and logistical demands on parents. Best suited for amicable couples prioritizing their child's stability, birdnesting requires clear communication. Parents should reassure children of their love and stability, emphasizing predictability and warmth.
  • Navigating Emotional Misunderstandings in New Marriages
Megan highlights the fragility of emotional connections in new marriages. She advises shifting from defense to compassion, suggesting a heartfelt apology to validate feelings. Megan notes this may be emotional flooding, not a true desire for divorce, and recommends therapy to rebuild trust and understanding. "I want to understand you better," she suggests saying to re-open connection.
  • Mushroom Growth in Dorms: A Mental Health and Safety Alert
Megan warns that fungal growth in dorms can cause anxiety and sleep issues. "Dorms should be safe," she says, urging universities to ensure healthy living conditions. Students should document issues and seek support. Ignoring environmental problems signals a lack of care, impacting student wellbeing long-term.
