Megan Zwart is an assistant professor of philosophy at Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana. She received her PhD from the University of Notre Dame and her BA from Calvin College. Since 2017, she has taught a class on civil discourse, teaching students how to connect and have conversations with those who philosophy is Mary's on civil discourse. The class actually after the 2016 election, after there was an abundance of upset, frustration, and fear that followed the election, on both sides of the political fence. She created this course as a way for students to learn how to have difficult conversations. Her research interests including the ethics of eating, Ethics of eating, Hellenistic philosophy, and philosophical pedagogy.
