Before starting The Home Refresh, Melissa was a mom who was also managing to work a 40-hour week outside of her home. In addition to her 9-5 job, she was packing school lunches, washing & folding laundry, tidying the house, chauffeuring to sports & activities as well as accomplishing all the other things “mom duties” entail.

Many times she’d been asked how she gets it all done. Here is her secret; she’s always believed that organization is the key to success. Her cabinets are organized. Her closets are organized. Her calendar is organized. Therefore, her mind is organized which results in an organized life.

Melissa holds a Bachelor’s degree in marketing and began her career over seventeen years ago in the advertising industry working for several agencies and big name retailers. Throughout life, her time management, communication and organization skills were always top notch. So, naturally it made sense for her to want to help others to organize their homes, minds and lives.

Melissa currently lives in Northern Bergen County with her husband and two daughters. When she’s not organizing her closets, cabinets or basement, she can be found reading bedtime stories, assisting with homework, running community activities or sorting the girls’ crayons & markers, by color of course!
