I'm a leader, a problem solver and innovator and I love the idea of making an impact in this world. I am looking to collaborate with other like minded professions and provide value to people on a daily basis. My specialties are fitness and innovation. I have 10 years of experience in the health industry and I am currently completing my Masters in Management Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Queens University. In my current role at The Glencoe Club I am a personal trainer and strength coach who works with a number of different types of clients. I help manage and lead these clients to build strength, lose body fat, rehabilitate injuries and develop skills for their sport. Also, for the past 2 years I have worked to develop the youth athletic program at The Glencoe Club. The program has grown each year since I have started and we are on track to continue even throughout the COVID-19 situation.
Doctors, personal trainers, and running coaches have these suggestions if you want to start running and stay injury-free after age 50.
As early as possible, it is advisable to consult with a doctor or physical therapist before starting any new exercise routine. Take into account any physical limitations or joint pain that might be present before starting. As young as you feel, age is still an important factor to consider when it comes to running.
