Michaela Jeffery-Morrison is the co-founder and CEO of Ascend Global Media, the world’s first events company designed specifically for women working in tech, staging both digital and physical events that draw audiences of thousands from around the world, including prominent speakers such as the former US First Lady Michelle Obama. At the age of 25, Michaela started the business alongside co-founders Patrick Lewis and Freddie Lewis. With big ambitions to change the status quo, Michaela wanted to build a company that would give women the tools not only to progress professionally but to take charge of their own futures and grow personally.

Over the past five years, Michaela has developed a series of hugely popular virtual and physical events including the Women of Silicon Valley, the Women in Technology Online Festival and Women of Silicon Roundabout - the largest gathering of female technology professionals in Europe.

With Michaela’s backing, the company has gone from strength to strength, earning international recognition for its platform. The company won Best Tech Event in the 2020 Conference Awards, Best Tech Event and Best UK Event at the 2020 Eventex Global Awards, and has been listed on the Sunday Times Fast Track ‘Ones to Watch’.
