Michel Jacobs is a senior executive who has led strategy, solutions and technology driven innovation across the banking and payments markets on a global basis. Michel entered the bank and payments industry with S2 Systems in 2002, followed by eFunds in 2005 and FIS since the acquisition of eFunds in 2007 and in 2016 with Intellect iGTB. Michel has participated in the formation of a new regional payments infrastructure in Asia, conversion of global financial institutions to real-time banking models in Europe, and the implementation of multi-channel customer centric infrastructure in some of North America's largest banks. Michel is sought out by banking executives around the globe for his pragmatic, forward thinking, and technically grounded approaches to some of the most thorny problems facing the financial services industry. Michel has demonstrated industry thought leadership in a number of core banking, channel, risk and payments disciplines giving him a unique and broad perspective across banking solutions and technology. Earlier in his career Michel worked in leading communications and enterprise computing firms such as EpicRealm, OpenConnect, and Harris Adacom. Throughout his career Michel Jacobs has completed dozens of deals in every major geography across the spectrum of customer sales, business development, and m&a as well as the planning of several major new solutions launched in the banking space, including build, buy and partner sourcing. Raised in the Netherlands, Michel is fluent in English, Dutch and German.
