Mishi McDuff founded Blueberry Entertainment after trying to find a cute outfit for her metaverse avatar, to meet her now husband. Since then the digital wearables company has sold more than 20 million units of virtual clothing since its 2012 launch. They’ve partnered with designer Jonathan Simkhai and launched a collaboration to do a “high caliber fashion drop on Roblox” in partnership with the Broadway show “Dear Evan Hansen.” A virtual version of the iconic blue striped polo will be available online and the physical clothing will roll out at Bloomingdale’s. McDuff believes fashion should be as available online as it is in store and in person.
