I’ve been a passionate parrot rescuer for over 12 years, with a deep focus on the care and rehabilitation of medically challenged birds. My rescue work involves providing specialized care, nutrition, and a safe haven for birds in need, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. Alongside rescue work, I’ve been a bird toy maker for 10 years, designing safe, enriching toys that support both physical activity and mental stimulation. My expertise in avian nutrition and care allows me to offer tailored solutions for every bird, ensuring they lead happy and healthy lives. I am also an author of "the science of avian Nutrition."
Monika Sangar and her family started the nonprofit 501(c)(3) Prego Dalliance Sanctuary (PDS) after losing their first Eclectus parrot, Prego. The family was devastated after losing him and took in other parrots in need.
