Myriam Zaoui-Malka is a trailblazer in clean beauty and sustainable product innovation, with over two decades of experience as a clean formulator and an early pioneer in Green Chemistry. Combining her expertise in formulation and product innovation with a commitment to a toxin-free, plant-based lifestyle, Myriam has built successful beauty and wellness brands that reflect her holistic approach to health and sustainability.
With more than 25 years of knowledge in herbology, Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine, nutrition, aromatherapy, and product formulation, Myriam’s dedication to natural remedies began with co-founding The Art of Shaving. To support her vision, she established a state-of-the-art laboratory, where she developed groundbreaking products that reshaped the grooming industry. Following the acquisition of The Art of Shaving by Procter & Gamble, Myriam spent three years consulting with P&G’s R&D team, gaining extensive experience in upstream product development formulation, and testing.
Her entrepreneurial journey continued with the co-founding of Strategic Brand Investments (SBI), a purpose-driven angel fund that supports emerging brands distinguished by their use of high-quality natural ingredients, impeccable packaging, and compelling brand stories. Through SBI, Myriam provides hands-on guidance in product development, sustainability, and brand-building strategies.
Myriam spent several years in the dermatology field developing medical grade brands learning the science backed beauty and acquiring deeper knowledge about the skin’s functions, conditions, and aging process.
This period deepened her understanding of skin health and contributed to her expertise in holistic beauty. Her passion for clean, transparent product formulation inspired the creation of Ingredients®. Through this brand, she redefined the standards of clean beauty, crafting products rooted in purity, sustainability, and integrity.
Her extensive industry experience spans every critical aspect of building a successful beauty brand—from understanding the science behind skin health to sourcing sustainable ingredients and packaging, formulation, manufacturing, regulatory compliance, and bringing launch-ready products to market. Myriam’s holistic and innovative approach continues to shape the future of beauty and wellness.
