Founder of Integrous LLC, Chief Integrity Counsel, Board Director, integrity Advisor, Attorney

Through Integrous LLC, I provide integrity advice and legal counsel to help faithful leaders lead with faithful integrity.

My decades of corporate transactional experience across a wide spectrum of clients and practice areas, as well as several years assisting and guiding various non-profit organizations, give me a seasoned understanding of situations faced by leaders and organizations and a unique “generalist” perspective to opportunities and challenges. My personal purpose statement is “to serve by redeeming work through the impartation of wisdom, spotlighting God’s truth and connecting its meaning to organizational cultures and practices.”

Integrous is the by-product of 50 years seeking to understand the intersection of faith and work, 35+ years as a lawyer, and 15+ years of involvement in marketplace ministry and the faith-work movement. It also reflects a life-long commitment to “integrity” as a core value. I am most energized and fulfilled professionally when I am connecting people who can help each other in their callings and when I am serving as a trusted advisor and counselor to business and non-profit leaders, particularly those who share my belief in a divine purpose for business and work and the dignity of people.

I graduated from Harvard College in 1983 and Harvard Law School in 1986.  I became a partner with Cravath, Swaine & Moore, a large New York City-based law firm, and for over 22 years practiced corporate law in New York and London.  Since leaving Cravath in 2009, I have given my time to a number of non-profits, including the New Canaan Society (serving in various leadership roles), Scripture@Work, Praxis, Sovereign’s Capital, Luis Palau Association, Movement Day, Young Life, FCA, Benjamin Franklin House Foundation, New York Law Institute and several others.
