Pete is a champion of expanding access to fertility and family building benefits in order to give everyone the opportunity to achieve their dream of parenthood. He has been working with leading employers to provide a comprehensive and inclusive fertility and family building benefit that is fully managed, generates superior clinical outcomes, and delivers exceptional care to their employees. Prior to joining Progyny, Pete was the CFO at WebMD.
Stemming from Progyny's Q1 2022 Earnings - “We had our most successful selling season last year, adding 1.2 million lives with 85 large self-insured clients,” says Pete Anevski, chief executive of Progyny. “And because we're a benefits company, there’s a step up relative to when they want to launch in alignment with their plan year, and most companies plan years of calendar years which is January 1.”
"To give you a sense for just how impactful this is, our higher live birth rate means that Progyny clients need to fund on average significantly fewer rounds of treatment than they otherwise would, had they be using either a carrier program or one of the venture capital-backed startups," he said. "This once again reveals that Progyny’s uniquely helping people to get pregnant faster, have healthier pregnancies and deliver healthy babies." These outcomes translate into significant downstream, medical cost savings in the form of lower maternity and NICU costs as well as a reduction in chronic care costs associated with low birth weight babies, he noted.
