Phil Dunne is a Managing Director and leads the firm's private equity initiatives in the U.K. and EMEA. With over 25 years of experience spanning both industry and consulting within the private equity ecosystem, Phil is a respected thought leader and strategic partner.
Prior to Stax, Phil served as the U.K. Managing Partner at Roland Berger, advising private equity and corporate clients across the automotive, aerospace, and industrial sectors. In this role, Phil spearheaded large-scale cost transformation and performance projects and provided buy-and sell-side support on multiple transactions.
Before joining Roland Berger, Phil occupied senior roles at renowned consulting firms, including Partner at EY, where he headed the EY-Parthenon Strategy team, and U.K. Managing Partner and leader of the Private Equity practice at Kearney.
Prior to consulting, Phil’s industry experience spanned aerospace (designing ground-to-air missiles with BAe Systems), automotive (designing and manufacturing tire-making machines with Michelin) and a brief (and unsuccessful!) career as a professional rugby player.
Phil holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Birmingham University and an MBA from Cranfield School of Management.
