A next-wave medical magnate, Quodarrius “Dr. Q” Toney, DDS, is changing the face of dentistry one patient at a time. Memphian native and two-time graduate of Howard University, Toney received a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry and sports medicine before finishing his Doctorate of Dental Surgery program at the widely-respected “Mecca” of Historically Black Colleges and Universities. His pursuit of dentistry hails from a burning desire to serve people in his community, especially underserved and marginalized groups.

He now owns and operates a private practice, Art of Aesthetics, a boutique office at the helm of modern dentistry offering complete rehabilitation services. His mastery of porcelain veneers and preventative care has led him to create a preservation-forward line of toothbrushes. Essential Toothbrush Co. offers biodegradable solutions and moves to minimize health disparities among minorities as each sale prompts a donation of toothbrushes to communities in need.
Toney hopes to make a cemented impression on young adults grappling with optimal oral health maintenance, individuals who are simply self-conscious about making cosmetic changes to their teeth, and ultimately, the Black community who suffers from a strained relationship with healthcare professionals due to a trauma-riddled history of medicine.
