She is the Past President of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA), a national organization of 4,700 members, the Past President of the Illinois Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (ISDPA), and the Current Chair of the Dermatology Physician Assistants Foundation, a supporting organization of the SDPA. She is honored to be the first Physician Assistant on the Dermatology Times Editorial Advisory Board and the first Physician Assistant ever asked to be on an Advisory Committee for the FDA.
Ms. Block has been featured on TV, radio, social media, and many publications. She has been educating the public on proper skincare and the importance of Dermatology Physician Assistants' role in the healthcare community on her social media page @savvydermdiva.
She not only volunteers for her profession but has been on the Development Board for PAWS Chicago, a not-for-profit organization promoting a national model for animal rescue, since 2010, where she and her husband have raised funds for building a no-kill community in Chicago.
