Ricardo Caporal, the Founder & President of Mattoni Group, has over 15 years of private equity real estate investment and management experience. Under his leadership, Mattoni Group has developed a diverse portfolio of assets and loans across the United States, with multifamily assets encompassing the bulk of the portfolio. The Brazil native has held a leadership role in over $2 billion worth of capitalized transactions. Mattoni Group currently manages several funds and accounts dedicated to both Real Estate and Non-Performing Real Estate Loans.

Established in December of 2008, Mattoni Group, which’s name comes from a play on the Italian word for "bricks," embodies Caporal's vision to locate and create unique real estate investment opportunities. By effectively developing and managing properties, the firm aims to revitalize surrounding communities, attract quality tenants or buyers, and generate long-term value. Armed with an entrepreneurial strategy, skill set, and resources, Mattoni Group navigates market cycles to minimize competition, maximize value, and achieve desirable risk-adjusted returns, currently boasting investments in over 5,000 multifamily units.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Ricardo is actively involved in local and national organizations and philanthropic causes, including the National Parkinson Foundation and the Young Presidents Organization of Miami, where he served on the board's Executive Committee. He also lends his expertise to the advisory board for the University of Miami’s Master of Real Estate Development + Urbanism program and Babson College Miami campus. Additionally, as an active board member of the Urban Land Institute’s Southeast chapter, Caporal contributes to fostering responsible land use and creating thriving communities worldwide.

Caporal graduated Magna Cum Laude from Babson College, holding degrees in entrepreneurship and finance. He also pursued graduate-level executive studies in real estate at Harvard University.
