Richard Laver is a serial beverage founder, philanthropist, and CEO of LUCKY F*CK, an unorthodox better-for-you energy drink well on its way to upending and transforming the category. Also known as Mr. Lucky, Laver was anything but for most of his youth and part of his adult life. From being the youngest survivor of a fatal commercial plane crash that took his father’s life at age 12 to experiencing homelessness and PTSD as an adult, Laver’s intention in each one of his ventures is to encourage people to practice gratitude and keep going, no matter what life throws at you. Laver is also the founder of Kate Farms, the #1 recommended plant-based tube-feeding formula he created in honor of his daughter, who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy with “Failure to Thrive,” weighing only 16 pounds at five years old. Born out of necessity, Kate Farms is just one example of Laver’s drive to find solutions and make life better for everyone. Richard resides with his wife Michelle and five children in Austin, TX, and Park City, UT. Through The Kate Laver Foundation, a nonprofit he co-founded with Michelle that ran from 2015-2020, he donated nearly a million dollars to children with special needs. He has since focused his charitable efforts on feeding families in need in the mountains of Mexico, where Kate receives schooling and therapy.
Less than a year removed from its launch, Lucky Energy has landed $8 million investment as it rebrands itself to find new distribution opportunities.
Scheduled to launch online August 2, Lucky F*ck is a line of functional, zero sugar energy drinks made with Maca, Beta-Alanine, and 200 mg of caffeine.
