Rinea started Superior Contract Cleaning in 1997 to take care of her children after her husband passed away in a car accident. She had worked for a local building supply company in Lafayette and picked up many connections with contractors whom she had decided to provide additional value to through her experience and company’s services. Superior Contract Cleaning had been growing as an LLC for more than 7 years and was later changed to S Corp. in December 2004. Their primary focus was residential water and fire cleanup, residential and commercial construction cleanup, as well as coatings on concrete slabs and commercial floor finishes.

  • Expert Tips on Fitting a Kitchen Sink: Sealing, Cabinets, and Replacements
Rinea advises using "high-quality clear silicone caulk" for sealing sinks. For cabinets, a reinforced standard base unit is essential. A 36-inch cabinet suits single-bowl sinks, while 42-inch is ideal for double-bowls. Replacing a sink without changing the countertop is possible with careful measurement and adjustments, especially if the countertop is in good condition.
  • Expert Tips: Eliminating Stubborn Smoke Smells from Your Home
Rinea advises using TSP and oil-based primers for walls, avoiding water initially to prevent soot smearing. For fabrics, professional cleaning is recommended, with enzymatic cleaners as a DIY option. HVAC systems require professional cleaning, and air scrubbers with carbon filters are essential. Smoke particles embed deeply, making removal challenging. Methods work for both fire and cigarette smoke, though the latter is tougher due to buildup.
  • Home Water Damage: Prevention Tips from an Expert
Rinea highlights that neglected maintenance of water-dependent items often leads to damage. She advises regular inspections and installing water leak sensors. Rinea explains, “One inch of water can cause significant damage,” soaking materials like drywall, which then require costly replacements. She categorizes water damage into clean, grey, and black water, each with varying contamination levels.
