Ruth Fredericks, MD, is a Mississippi native who graduated from Millsaps College with a Bachelor of Science. During this time, she worked in the vascular lab at the Department of Surgery at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, which is where she went on to receive her medical degree. Fredericks then completed her internship and residency at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and Duke University Medical Center in North Carolina. Neurologic oncology was the focus of Frederick’s fellowship training at Duke University, and the focus areas of her practice include neurologic oncology and the treatment of multiple sclerosis. In addition to her very busy clinic, Fredericks leads the Comprehensive Stroke Center at St. Dominic’s.
