Ryan Schultz | Source | Co-Founder at Medley

Ryan Schultz is a co-founder of Medley—a US-based, eco-friendly furniture brand—where he oversees the brand’s product development and ecommerce platform. His career began promptly after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in design at UCLA when he co-founded a graphic and web design company. The initial experience allowed Schultz to dive into the unique world of web and print design; skills he’s honed and now applies to the Medley brand.

In 2005, Schultz took the opportunity to collaborate with his brother to help co-found what is known as Medley today. As someone who is constantly viewing the furniture industry through a fresh lens, Schultz enjoys innovating with new materials and processes that support Medley’s eco-friendly and sustainability initiatives. His own passion for the environment inspires him to think about new ways to responsibly build furniture that is not only good for the customers, builders, and the planet, but also that people will love for years to come in their personal space.

Schultz grew up outside Sacramento, CA and currently resides in Portland, OR with his wife and kids. He’s proud to have bootstrapped an eco-friendly furniture company from his apartment many years ago and have built it into a respected national company. In his down time, Schultz indulges his love for nature, food, and travel. He enjoys experiencing the Pacific Northwest with family and friends by attending concerts, visiting local restaurants, and hiking.
