Sara Hogan, MD, FAAD is a board-certified, fellowship-trained cosmetic dermatologist based in Washington, D.C. Dr. Hogan received her medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine internship and dermatology residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, which is consistently ranked as one of the best hospitals in the United States. She then completed a cosmetic, laser and dermatologic surgery fellowship at SkinCare Physicians in Chestnut Hill, MA--the longest established program of its kind in the country, with clinical faculty from Harvard, Yale and Brown. Dr. Hogan previously was the Director of Aesthetic Surgery for UCLA Dermatology Santa Monica and an Assistant Health Sciences Clinical Professor in Dermatology at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. She currently is an Assistant Clinical Professor in Dermatology at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Dr. Hogan has presented at international and national professional conferences, published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals, and authored over fifteen chapters in dermatologic and cosmetic surgery textbooks. She is a Contributing Editor for Dermatologic Surgery, a monthly peer-reviewed journal that publishes the most clinically comprehensive and up-to-date information on cosmetic and reconstructive skin surgery. She also serves on the Editorial Board for Modern Aesthetics, a monthly magazine that publishes expert advice on patient care and practice development for cosmetic surgeons. Dr. Hogan is opening her private practice, Cosmedica Dermatology, in the West End of Washington, D.C., in late 2024.
