Sarah Oh serves as the Rapid Response Lead for the Global Response team at OpenAI, working on AI safety and risk.

Previously she was co-founder at Pebble (initially known as "T2), which was one of the front-running startups scaling up to replace twitter. Until Elon Musk's takeover of Twitter, Sarah Oh served as Human Rights Advisor for the platform, focusing on the use of social media to promote and safeguard human rights. Before that, she led Facebook’s crisis response efforts in the Asia Pacific and South Asia as a senior member of the Strategic Response Team (within the Office of the CEO and COO).

Sarah has advised non-profit organizations focused on platform accountability, online safety, and democracy for more than a decade. Sarah began her career at the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs where she served as inaugural Silicon Valley Partnerships Representative.

Sarah received her BA with honors in political science from Northwestern University and was previously a Visiting Scholar at The Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society and the Banatao Institute at the University of California. She is currently a Nonresident Fellow at the Digital Forensic Research Lab at the Atlantic Council and a Member of Search for Common Ground’s President’s Leadership Council.
