Before founding Idea Grove as a solo consultancy in 2005, Scott gained significant experience as a communicator and leader at Fortune 1000 companies. Scott served from 2001 to 2004 as vice president of corporate communications for Belo Corp., a diversified media company with 2004 revenues of more than $1.5 billion.
