Scott Roberts, MD, is an infectious diseases specialist who cares for patients while they are in the hospital.

Dr. Roberts says he became a doctor so he could help others in their time of need while also gaining a better understanding of the pathophysiology of diseases.

In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Roberts is associate medical director of infection prevention for the Yale School of Medicine. As a researcher, he is focused on preventing health care-associated infections developed in the hospital. This includes device-related infections, respiratory viral infections including COVID-19, and infections in specific patient populations such as immunocompromised patients.
