Seth Matthews works primarily in Southern New Hampshire University's human services program. He holds a bachelor’s in communication sciences and disorders from the University of Central Arkansas and a master’s in professional counseling from Harding University.

After serving in the U.S. Navy Hospital Corp, Matthews worked in the fields of community mental health, juvenile justice and foster care as a case manager, clinician, clinical supervisor and program director. His academic focus includes the expansion of substance abuse treatment options and crisis intervention. Matthews joined SNHU 14 years ago and prior to taking on the role of associate dean, he served as a member of the university’s Online Accessibility Center for several years. He enjoys hiking, kayaking and camping with his family.
