Founder Shari Bailey, a devoted mother of twins, intimately understands both the challenges and joys of raising a child with disabilities. Her daughter, Laila, was born with Jacobsen Syndrome, a rare congenital condition that impacts 1 in 100,000 newborns and often brings life-threatening obstacles. Tragically, statistics show that 20-25% of children with this syndrome do not reach their second birthday due to its many complications.

Bailey believes that children like Laila are incredible gifts to the world. That’s why she created the nonprofit - Laila's Gift offering a Celebration in a Box experience to children with special needs. This innovative program ensures that every child feels cherished on their special day, no matter their challenges. Bailey uses her experience to promote inclusion and provide ongoing support for families facing similar challenges.
