Shayna Lloyd is a writer based in Northwest Montana, where she has lived her entire adult life. Growing up, she moved often across the Pacific Northwest and Mountain West, experiences that deeply inform her work. Shayna’s writing explores themes of nature, small-town life, female friendship, and the search for self.
Currently, she is working on a coming-of-age novel set in the Cabinet Mountains, drawing inspiration from the landscapes and relationships that have shaped her. She also writes personal essays about growing up in the Mountain West, the art and media that influence her, and the connections that anchor us to people and place. A lifelong lover of books and films, Shayna finds joy in storytelling that captures the quiet complexities of growing up, loving people for who they truly are, and finding one’s place in the world.
When she’s not writing, Shayna travels extensively, capturing stories through her work as a professional photographer and videographer. She lives with her husband, a teacher, and their two small children in Northwest Montana.
