As the CTO of Radicle Science, Sheldon's focus is on the imagining and creation of innovative, scalable, user-friendly, and secure software for growth that will support some of history's largest clinical trials that aim to revolutionize healthcare. Radicle Science is clinically validating nonprescription health products, with a vision to transform them into democratized, precision medicine.

While at WebMD, he held multiple senior technical leadership roles, including Chief Security Officer (from startup through IPO to $1B/yr revenue). He has developed major clinical trials systems, electronic medical record systems, and payment systems, including Medicare Advantage.

Sheldon was Chief Scientist and VP at Progress Software responsible for innovation and new product strategy across the company’s product lines including supporting M&A. He led Progress' efforts in advanced analytics, big data, and cloud-based mobile development tools. He initiated, catalyzed, and led world-wide teams leading to Progress products named “most innovative” by IDC and “leader” by Forrester.

He has been an advisor to several digital health startups leading to successful corporate acquisitions and is a long-term mentor and judge at the MassChallenge accelerator.

Sheldon earned his PhD, EE, and SM degrees from MIT (his Master’s thesis actually earned him the PhD), was a real rocket scientist at MIT Draper, and practices Tai Chi. However, he is most proud of supporting his family in every possible way.
