Hi, there! We're Meredith McKenzie and Shivani Vyas, expert interior designers at The Selective Design, a boutique studio based in Macon, Georgia. Together, we offer bespoke design solutions with a focus on creating timeless, traditional Southern spaces (with a modern twist) that reflect our clients’ personal taste and lifestyles.
Meredith here— I'm the founder and Principal Designer at The Selective Design, bringing a wealth of knowledge in design concepts, from the latest trends to timeless solutions for both residential and commercial spaces. With an interior design degree and 15+ years in the industry, I have extensive experience across a variety of design projects and clients.
Shivani here — I'm a contributing interior design expert for Better Homes & Gardens, with over five years of industry experience in addition to my role as Operations Lead and Senior Designer at The Selective Design. I've also been recognized as one of the Top 123 Interior Design Experts in 2023, 2024, and 2025 by Fixr.
We also co-write our very own interior design column in Macon Magazine, while I (Shivani) also contribute regularly to Georgia Design.
