Star Kashman is the Founding Partner of Cyber Law Firm and Technology & Cyber Law Chair at Gotham Government Relations. Star is an award-winning legal scholar, recognized for her pioneering work in cybersecurity and national security law. Ms. Kashman authored the first legal analysis on the legality of Search Engine Hacking (Google Dorking) and was awarded by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, which oversees agencies such as the CIA and NSA.

Ms. Kashman founded Cyber Law Firm to advocate for victims of cybercrime and support startup technology companies, handling complex cases involving hacking, online child exploitation, cyber harassment, fraud, doxing, deepfakes, image-based sexual abuse, cybersquatting, identity theft, and more. Ms. Kashman has presented at many events, including NYCLA’s first mandatory New York cybersecurity CLE and the ABA’s Women of Legal Tech Summit.

In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Kashman serves as Tech & Cyber Law Chair at Gotham Government Relations, where she works to advance policy and legislation addressing cybercrime and technology law in the U.S.. Ms. Kashman contributes timely expert insight and analysis on emerging technology topics to relevant articles and live news interviews on platforms such as LiveNow Fox and NTD News. Ms. Kashman is admitted to practice law in New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Connecticut, and New Jersey, where she leads efforts to protect victims and enhance safety in the digital age.
