Tanya Hargrave-Klein is a registered dietitian nutritionist with 30+ years of experience supporting individuals in developing a balanced relationship with food, body image, and exercise. She has been with Equip for 3.5 years and is a certified Intuitive Eating counselor. She practices through a Health At Every Size (HAES) lens when working with individuals and families. In addition to her nutrition expertise, Tanya holds a master's degree in exercise physiology from Iowa State University. She enjoys teaching aquatic fitness classes to inspire joyful movement among individuals of all ages and abilities.
She is an adjunct faculty member at Des Moines Area Community College instructing undergraduate courses in human nutrition and sports nutrition. Lastly, and most importantly, she is a mother to two young adults and lives in Ames, Iowa. On days she is not “at work,” you can find her gardening, at the movies, or playing pickleball with friends.
