Terry Comer is the Co-Founder and CEO of NIL FanBox, a groundbreaking platform revolutionizing college sports fan engagement by connecting athletes directly with their supporters through authentic memorabilia and experiences. Under Terry’s leadership, NIL FanBox has become the only university-approved, player-endorsed brand of its kind, creating innovative ways for fans to celebrate their favorite teams while empowering athletes to benefit from their Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL).
An accomplished entrepreneur and investor, Terry brings over 15 years of experience as an Independent Sponsor, having sourced, structured, and invested over $200 million of debt and equity capital across diverse industries, including transportation, digital marketing, and multi-unit franchising. His track record includes a historical return to equity investors of 3.4x MOIC. With a passion for driving growth and operational excellence, Terry has held leadership roles across corporate, startup, and private equity-backed ventures, including extensive experience managing global operations in Asia.
Prior to co-founding NIL FanBox, Terry co-founded ImpactData, where he serves as Chairman, driving the company’s strategic national expansion of digital infrastructure in partnership with Historically Black Colleges & Universities. Earlier in his career, Terry led the acquisition and transformation of American Biosurgical, a leading medical cable manufacturer. During his tenure, he grew revenues fourfold to over $40 million, expanded the workforce from 5 to over 400 employees, and established an 80,000-square-foot manufacturing operation in Tangxia, China. He also founded the North Avenue Group, a middle-market private equity fund, where he spearheaded sourcing and investment strategies across a range of industries.
Terry’s leadership is defined by his ability to identify innovative opportunities, build consensus among stakeholders, and champion diverse teams to achieve transformative results. He is actively involved in community service, serving as a Trustee on the Board of Morris Brown College and as a member of Georgia Tech's Council of Outstanding Engineers. He was also recognized early in his career as a Power 30 Under 30 Award recipient by the City of Atlanta.
Terry holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Bachelor of Science in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech (High Honors), and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Morris Brown College, where he graduated second in his class.
