Originally from a small village in rural England, he brings a wealth of international experience, having worked in education across three continents throughout his decade-long career.
Mr. Walker holds a degree in Politics from the University of Sussex and began his career in education and public policy research, focusing on education and skills development. His journey with BASIS Independent Schools began as a teacher of Advanced Placement© (AP©) humanities courses at BASIS Scottsdale, where he witnessed the transformative impact of a BASIS Independent education.
He later served as Director of Student Affairs at BASIS Independent Silicon Valley before becoming Head of School, a role he held for more than five years. During his tenure, the school flourished, reinforcing his commitment to the network's mission. Subsequently, he was appointed as the founding Head of School for BASIS Independent Online, where he led the launch and development of the program to provide high-quality education to students remotely across the United States.
In addition to his role as Vice President, Mr. Walker serves as a board member for BASIS International School Bangkok, contributing his expertise to support the school's success in delivering exceptional education in a global context.
