Tom Sellers is the Chef Patron of Restaurant Story. He dreamed of opening Restaurant Story at the age of 19, and in April 2013, aged 26, was able to realise his dream. Tom trained at some of the world’s best restaurants including Restaurant Tom Aikens, Noma and Per Se. His food is predominantly British, using seasonality to lead a menu that invokes memory and brings a narrative to each plate.

​​Tom’s food is inspired by his culinary career and the history of British food. Story is a unique restaurant that combines a literary theme with the world of food, and his dishes are an edible story, each inspired by a memory. He shares these memories visually, as well as through smell and taste. Tom strongly believes that it is of utmost importance to understand your history in order to shape your future. He sees food as a way of expressing his own story, where he has come from to where he is now.

The restaurant gained its first Michelin star after five months of opening in 2013 and its second Michelin star in 2021.
