I’ve been involved with sustainable design and construction my entire career. I started on the owner’s side as Director of Sustainability for a development company and transitioned into running consulting firm Trident Sustainability Group. Today, as founder and CEO of Green Badger - the leading SaaS platform making sustainability accessible, attainable, and effortless for the entire construction industry - I’m still a huge proponent of not only sustainable design, but also of the value of transparency and third-party verification.
As a LEED Fellow, my career has spanned private, academic, and non-profit green construction sectors for nearly two decades. I lead our growing team with hands-on experience on more than 150+ LEED certified projects and implement ways to provide industry professionals with affordable technology and knowledge-based solutions to accelerate sustainable construction.
I co-authored the book “Local Action: The New Paradigm in Climate Change Policy,” contributed to “The Green Building Bottom Line,” produced the publication “Contractors Guide to LEED v4” and I frequently speak on green building topics across the country.
Green Badger recently launched an ESG model specifically to bring “sustainability beyond just a building certification."
The pandemic and the growing corporate sustainability movement put the focus on what our built environment looks like even more front and center. There is now a bigger push for healthy indoor environments — focus on making sure there’s adequate air filtering, treatment, filtration rates, cleaning policies — all of that ties into green building.
