Vanessa Baie is the Director of Targeted Recruitment and Coaching at Let It Be Us, a nonprofit in Illinois. She began seven years ago as a foster care caseworker then moved on to other positions such as foster parent licensing, administration, quality assurance, risk management, and most recently in clinical social work as a therapist and parenting educator for birth parents and the children involved with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. Baie has a master's degree in social work from Jane Addams College of Social Work at UIC and is a licensed social worker in the state of Illinois. She is also a licensed direct service child welfare employee and is Child Care Act certified. She is in the process of receiving her Ph.D. in clinical social work at the Institute of Clinical Social Work in Chicago. Vanessa is passionate about child welfare and it is her crusade to improve the well-being of all children in Illinois.
