My unique marketing communications experience includes newsroom, agency, corporate and startup work on two continents. My journey started as a reporter in post-communist Bulgaria where the desire to encourage change and transparency pushed me to journalistic work. Then, my passion for the communications industry took me to the United States. There, I gained a degree in journalism and public relations and spent years doing work for major brands. After working in PR for 7 years, my interest in consumer behavior, business development and technology guided me to the account-management side of the business. As a result, in 2011, I started leading integrated marketing work. While directing an integrated team, I often had to operate as the account manager, social media advisor, creative thinker, PR pro and project manager all at once.
