A Certified Public Accountant, Wayne joined Training The Street in 2013 after a twenty-year career in public and corporate accounting, specializing in complex accounting transactions and financial reporting matters. At Progress Energy, a Fortune 250 diversified energy company, Wayne led the group responsible for accounting policy and technical accounting, including mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. Wayne began his career with Deloitte, where he focused on high-growth entrepreneurial and emerging public companies. Wayne’s public accounting experience includes four initial public offerings and debt placements, and various acquisition, merger, and due diligence transactions. His industry experience includes energy and utilities, technology, software, retail, venture capital, and manufacturing.
