Xenia Chen, founder of Threads, arrived at the age of five in Canada and then went to some of the top schools in Toronto and top companies in Canada before becoming an entrepreneur at the age of 25. In 2018 investment banker turned tights & hosiery start-up designer/entrepreneur Xenia didn’t set out to start a new business, she set out to solve a problem. In doing so, she has put thousands of women back in control of their self-confidence by creating a brand of hosiery that delivers on quality, price and convenience. Fed up with runs, suffocating waistlines, sticker shock, and a shared frustration with her friends and colleagues over their shopping experiences, Xenia decided on creating a new direct-to-consumer brand of high-quality tights at affordable prices.
