Yousef Hazimee is a highly experienced security leader with a career spanning technology, financial, and professional services. In his current role, Yousef leads the security team at LearnUpon as its Head of Security. Yousef is responsible for all aspects of security, risk, and compliance and also provides regular board updates and briefings.

Yousef specializes in building highly productive security teams that actively contribute to business growth and enablement through risk management and customer engagement. Yousef knows that security can be a competitive advantage to a business and his strong technical background, combined with a solid grounding in business, gives Yousef a unique perspective on how to design and implement best-in-class security programs that deliver maximum return on investment. Governance, compliance, data protection, and security operations are all areas in which Yousef excels.

Prior to LearnUpon, Yousef led two large-scale, multi-million euro security programs that delivered strategic security enhancements to implement and mature security measures in AIB, an Irish pillar bank. He subsequently built AIB’s security practice function, responsible for reporting all aspects of the bank’s security to the board on a quarterly basis, including written reports and presentations.

In addition, Yousef serves as an Associate Committee member in the Irish Information Security Forum, a volunteer-led industry group that builds awareness and adoption of security best practices across businesses. Yousef holds an MBA, MS, and BS and was awarded the Dean’s List during his Global MBA at IE Business School in Spain.

Yousef currently lives in Dublin, Ireland.
