About The Role
We’re looking for a passionate and creative Content Editor to support us in our Content team. We want you to help us drive more traffic to Confused.com and our other insurance comparison brands through informative, engaging content.
Reporting to the Content Manager, the role involves working closely with our SEO, CRM, social media, and PR teams as part of a cross-functional team. You’ll work with internal colleagues to:
Create high-quality, informative and engaging content that helps our customers, demonstrates high-levels of expertise and aids in driving traffic to our site.
Scope out opportunities to meaningfully grow our content bank based on the needs of the other marketing channels.
Respond to content requests and briefs from internal stakeholders. You’ll need to understand their objectives and create content that helps them achieve success..
Work with our in-house experts to ensure the accuracy of content, demonstrate SEO best practices, maintain consistent tone-of-voice, and apply content design standards to your work.
Manage the workflow of your pieces from creation to compliance sign off, including uploading to our CMS.
Regularly analyse content performance, including identifying where and what improvements are needed.
Help produce regular channel reports for the Content Manager and senior stakeholders.
It’s a great position for someone with the right talent and enthusiasm. We’re looking for someone who’s highly motivated, ideally with experience of digital marketing for a large brand, and who has a strong grasp of content marketing and copywriting.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a passion for the written word and for telling stories that educate and engage readers.
Ideally, you’ll have at good level of experience of producing and managing content as well as:
A strong and creative flair for writing, being able to turn complex topics into clear, customer-friendly copy that’s interesting, informative and engaging. Experience in writing for insurance and financial services would be ideal.
An understanding of SEO best practices and how to apply them to your work
Impeccable spelling, punctuation and grammar.
Experience of commissioning and managing content from agencies or freelancers.
Experience in looking at the performance of your content, and taking appropriate actions to improve it.
Experience of using Excel and creating reports.
Experience in using web analytic tools, such as Google Analytics.
A basic understanding of image editing software.
Being a team-player, able to collaborate across multiple teams and manage expectations from several stakeholders.
Strong organisational skills, being able to juggle multiple work-streams simultaneously.
Good communication skills, with the ability to analyse and present results.
Experience of using a CMS.
A degree in writing or journalism isn’t required but is a big plus.
