Position Overview

CH is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated freelance Website Administrator & Copy Writer to perform regular updates to the backend of CleverHiker.com. This role is for someone with experience in WordPress, an aptitude for writing and research, and a passion for and knowledge of the outdoors and backpacking, hiking, and camping equipment.

Responsibilities

Write and edit copy for various articles and posts, including trip guides and product reviews, ensuring clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
Check and update website affiliate marketing links to ensure they are functional and direct to the correct, in-stock products.
Collaborate with the content team to address any website issues or improvements.
Ensure the website remains user-friendly and visually appealing, including checking for consistent formatting across pages and updating photography as necessary.

Qualifications

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to write clear, concise, and engaging copy.
Passion for the outdoors and a keen interest in outdoor gear and activities.
Proven experience with WordPress, including content management and basic troubleshooting.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Basic understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
