Ken Sanderman is a director in APCO’s Chicago office with more than 15 years of experience advising clients on corporate reputation, crisis planning, litigation communications, issues management, media relations and strategic message development. Ken brings deep expertise across a wide range of industries, including agriculture, consumer products, education, energy, real estate, supply chain, technology, and public affairs. He currently serves as North America Media Practice Deputy Lead, overseeing the growth and development of APCO’s media offerings.
Before joining APCO, Ken was an account executive at G&S Business Communications, where he led media relations for clients like Syngenta and Port Miami. He later directed reputation and crisis communications for one of the largest U.S. trade associations. Ken has advised clients on data breaches, leadership transitions and legislative reform, and has secured top-tier media coverage for brands like Office Depot. He has also managed media events for foreign diplomats and global executives, including the CEO of Novozymes. Ken holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations from Bradley University.
