Matthew is a strategic communications professional with over six years of agency and internal experience. Matthew has spent the majority of his career at leading communications and investor relations firm ICR, where he currently is an Account Director on the company's real estate team. He oversees the communication and media relations strategies for both publicly traded and private REITs and real estate investment companies (hospitality, multifamily, homebuilding, office, ground lease and retail). He also spent time working internally at RPT Realty, where he oversaw the company's brand elevation, communications efforts and marketing.
Throughout his career, Matthew has cultivated relationships with several of the top writers covering the retail and commercial real estate industries, and secured prominent placements for his clients with leading financial, business and leadership publications such as Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, CNBC, USA TODAY, Inc., National Real Estate Investor, Bisnow and many more.
The media campaign Matthew designed for one of his many clients, U.S. Concrete (NASDAQ: USCR), won a Big Apple Award for “Reputation and Brand Management: Campaigns with Budgets of $150,000 or Less” in the 2017 PRSA Big Apple Awards and the SILVER AWARD for “Best General Business Campaign” in the 2017 Bulldog Media Relations Awards. This same campaign was selected as a finalist for the 2017 Gold Sabre Awards in the “Real Estate and Construction” category.
Matthew graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2009 with a degree in Journalism.
