I entered the profession in 1987 while still in college, and am now an equity partner in a prestigious national design firm. I am now responsible for marketing, business development, and firm growth and have a special interest in "pre-design" activities directed at finding the issues that drive a client's design needs. I have spent many years with clients and developing new ways to engage them in activities to help uncover the fundamental organizational issues that drive their need for a project, and how to use their facilities to enable their mission. I am a technologist, often finding new ways to improve processes with existing tech, and a staunch advocate for working on behalf of a client, similar to a fiduciary. I offer a seasoned point of view about business, the profession of architecture, social equity, technology, the environment, and the ability of design to impact organizational outcomes.
