Samerial Johns is the visionary founder behind PUG ai, a VC-backed startup for career management software with AI tools and digital human coaches designed to empower individuals’ careers and lifestyles.

Sammie's journey is deeply personal, rooted in her experience as the child of immigrant refugees from war-torn Liberia. Inspired by her parents' resilience in becoming entrepreneurs within America for survival, Sammie forged her path early in her career by taking the leap of faith and moving to Silicon Valley with $200 at 18 years old to pursue her dreams. After two failed attempts to move to San Francisco, Samerial successfully enrolled at the University of San Francisco and started her tech career in Silicon Valley at a Fortune tech company while in college.

She balanced three jobs while in college full-time, and by age 22, she had quickly made her mark at top tech companies. However, the demanding pace took its toll, leading to burnout and financial challenges affording her college tuition, which ignited her mission to create PUG ai.

PUG ai isn't just another platform; it's redesigning the future of work to empower users to enhance their skills, secure career opportunities, and foster networking connections. Sammie recently became part of the .3% of black women to recieve VC funding. She recently completed demo day with a top VC firm in June 2024.
