I specialize in writing about foodservice, healthcare, personal finance, business, technology, and science. My clients have included several associations, including the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the American Society for Healthcare Engineering; business magazines, including Crain's Chicago Business and American Nurseryman; and consumer publications, including the Chicago Tribune, Your Money magazine, and Kiwanis magazine.
I also have written three books: Come On Dad: 75 Things for Fathers and Sons to do Together, The Lobster Kids Guide to Exploring Chicago (both published by Lobster Press in Toronto), and The Green Reprographics Handbook (published by Marion Street Press, Inc. And I co-authored an "Armchair Reader" book about the Civil War, published by Publications International.
I have edited more than 50 books, including four American Booksellers Association Book Sense selections, five selections of the Writer's Digest Book Club, four that were praised by William Safire in his New York Times column, and many that are used in journalism courses across the country. For 13 years I was editor/publisher at Marion Street Press, Inc., and for about five years I was editorial director of Health Administration Press.
